Privacy Policy

Your storyteller’s memories are precious, and we treat them that way. All stories, recordings, and personal details captured on Horsse are encrypted and stored securely. We will never share your family’s archive with third parties, and we will never use your stories for advertising or training AI models without your explicit consent.

We collect only the information needed to provide the Horsse service: your account details, subscription information, and the stories your storyteller chooses to share. We do not sell personal data. We do not build profiles for advertising. Your data is yours -- always.

Quick-log voice recordings are sensitive personal data. Raw audio files are stored privately in Supabase Storage, with access scoped to your account. Our retention policy makes raw quick-log audio eligible for scheduled removal 30 days after successful processing, while keeping your transcript and care or journal entries. Automatic cleanup is being prepared for activation; removal may take longer if a service is unavailable. Older completed recordings receive a full 30 days when the policy is activated. Recordings that have not processed successfully remain available for recovery or account deletion.

The account-deletion flow is designed to remove recordings, photos and stored exports from Horsse’s storage before deleting your account. New file uploads are paused during deletion. If an upload is still finishing or file removal cannot be confirmed, deletion stops and asks you to retry or contact support.

This describes files managed by Horsse. Copies you have downloaded remain on the devices where you saved them. Recordings sent for transcription are also processed by our providers; their retention and deletion terms will be covered in the full policy.
